Kimberly Cummings

The North Star Women's Firefighter Association was founded by Kimberly Cummings from the Eden Prairie Fire Department. Kimberly started her career in the fire service in September of 2000, as an Administrative Assistant for the Fire Chief. For almost two years, Kimberly was the only full-time staff member on the Eden Prairie Fire Department. In 2002, the first full-time Fire Chief, was hired by the City. After that, Kimberly began her FF I and FF II classes and became a full-time firefighter for Eden Prairie. Kimberly is also an EMT and Haz Mat Tech and is currently working on completing her Fire Science Degree.

Becki White

Becki has been a volunteer with the Eden Prairie Fire Department since 2003. Becki's full-time job is teaching second-graders for Shakopee Public Schools. Becki is State Certified FF I, FFI, EMT, and Haz Mat Tech.

Sherri Walsh
Chanhassen Fire
Treasurer
Sherri is a fourth-generation firefighter. She has been with Chanhassen Fire Department since 1991, holding the ranks of Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, and most recently, First Assistant Fire Chief. She is married and has two daughters, Katelynn and Kristine. Her husband, Tim Walsh, is the Fire Chief for the City of Victoria. Sherri is a Registered Nurse with a Masters in Business Adminstration and works for UnitedHealthcare fulltime. Sherri is FFI, FFII, Apparatus Operator, and First Responder.

Laura McCarthy
Bloomington Fire
Member at Large
Laura is a District Chief for the Bloomington Fire Department. Her career started in November, 1989 as a firefighter. She has held positions of Firefighter, Driver, Safety Officer, Captain, and District Chief. Her full time job is a Fire Inspector for the City of Bloomington.
